A high performance weapon system, complying with the requirements of military development, current and future capabilities of science and technology, is a key component of a country's defensive potential.
International Salon "MVSV-2010" is one of the largest arms exhibitions in the Russian Federation, where present-day achievements of the military-industrial complex enterprises in the field of military products manufacture, as well as scientific and technical potential of the member states are on display.
The present Salon is distinctive in its large scale, extensive business program, exhibition of the models manufactured on hi-tech equipment with the use of innovative technologies, display of advanced models of weapons and military equipment.
The joint exposition of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states has become the Salon's good tradition.
I express confidence that the International Salon of Weapons and Military Equipment "MVSV-2010" will promote strengthening of the international cooperation in the military-technical sphere, and stimulate the development of technological processes in the field of modern weapons manufacture.
