Moscow. April 21, 2010. Preparation for holding the "Technologies in Engineering 2010" International Forum has reached its closing phase. The exhibition and business programs are practically formed, organizational and technical issues are being rapidly settled. This information was reported on Wednesday, during the joint press conference by Mikhail Dmitriyev, Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation, Sergey Chemezov, Director General of the Russian Technologies State Corporation, and Dmitry Shugaev, Deputy Director General of Russian Technologies State Corporation, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Transport Exhibition Complex "Russia".
According to M. Dmitriyev, during the last few years, enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex have essentially increased their exhibition activities participating in major international exhibitions and salons held both in Russia and abroad. In its turn, the "Technologies in Engineering" Forum combining the International Salon of Weapons and Military Equipment "MVSV-2010", the International Exhibition of Technologies in Engineering "INTERMASH 2010", the International Air and Space Exhibition "AEROSPACE 2010", and the International Exhibition "Unmanned Multi-Purpose Vehicle Systems "UVS-TECH 2010" aims at demonstrating current trends in the engineering industry.
"For the first time ever the exhibition will present not only specific samples of military goods and the results of productive activity of various military-industrial complex sectors and supplying industries but also their engineering capabilities and investment potential", underlined M.Dmitriyev.
In his turn, S.Chemezov detailed the objectives of the forthcoming event and its ideological basis. "This Forum aims at revealing our engineering possibilities and promoting its products to overseas markets, attracting investments for the fulfillment of paramount tasks set by the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev", he said.
As Director General of Russian Technologies State Corporation explained, the Forum will not only become the venue for exhibition events but also will unite them by one idea. It will give an opportunity to learn more about the technological process of the latest products creation - from scientific and market research to manufacturing applications of high technologies and finished-product output.
S.Chemezov has also called the journalists' attention to the fact that "Technologies in Engineering 2010" is the first platform where Russian Technologies State Corporation will present the potential of almost all enterprises and companies - the members of the Corporation.
According to D.Shugaev, the present Forum is a historical event for Russia both in terms of its scale and its format. "To effectively promote engineering products and to win steady positions on the world market, it is necessary not only to show the product at its best but also to provide conditions for keeping and increasing competitive positions of the enterprises", he said.
