VISITORS OF THE FORUM ET-2010 WILL BE ABLE TO SEE DEMONSTRATION FLIGHTS OF RUSSIAN DRONES

ZALA 421-04M

The prospects of unmanned vehicles manufacture in Russia are actively discussed these days. This has to do with a number of statements made by the heads of power departments. In the end of May, 2010, Lieutenant General Vladimir Shamanov, Commander of the Russian Airborne Troops, spoke highly of the Russian drones produced by the companies Vega and Irkut; Nikolay Rybalkin, Deputy Head of the FSB Border Guard Service, declared, that the department intended to buy only Russian air drones in order to support the national industry. On June 1, 2010 Vladimir Pronichev, Head of the FSB Border Guard Service of the Russian Federation, said that the department used ZALA 421-05, Irkut-10 and Orlan drones, "which, by their characteristics, are as good as foreign analogs". At present, these vehicles undergo tests at the Russian-Kazakhstan border.

ZALA AERO won all the RF FSB tenders on delivery of their ZALA complexes to the Border Guard and successfully executed all the contracts. ZALA AERO swift rise began in 2006 with a successful delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to the Aviation Center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Under the leadership of the Aviation Center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the drones protected the G8 Summit, which was held in St.-Petersburg, the ice-hockey world championship in Moscow, patrolled highways during the Air Show MAKS-2007, took part in the special-forces raid against the armed band in Neftekumsk, which ended without a single loss among special forces.

The air complex of remote sensing Irkut-10 carries out the tasks of the round-the-clock monitoring in a wide range of meteorological conditions, providing receipt and transfer of television, thermal and photographic terrain images to the earth in real time, localization of terrestrial objects by target indication of the operator, as well as collection, accumulation and integrated processing of video information.

The Russian industry is actively engaged in development of its own unmanned aerial vehicles, which in the future could meet the requirements of the Ministry of Defence. According to RIA Novosti, this was declared by Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSMTC). He said that "Such a nation as Russia should manufacture these vehicles itself".

The Forum visitors will be able to see the models of drones in the sky of the airfield "Ramenskoye" in the framework of demonstration flights at the Exhibition Program of the Forum. A new platform of TEC "Russia" will allow to properly demonstrate the capabilities and achievements in the field of development and application of unmanned aerial vehicles.
